One of you asked for ideas for messages for Valentine's Day treats. It was posted on my facebook page. I can see the responses, but it looks like the comments were blocked by facebook and no one else can see them. It sees all the Spanish words, punctuation marks and upper case letters as possible spam.Question: Do you have any ideas for little treats with a Spanish message for students?
Answers: (I will just copy and paste.)
1) YOU CAN MAKE THE LITTLE MOUSE WHEN YOU OPEN IT IS A HEART WITH SOME SPANISH MESSAGES SUCH AS: "ERES ESPECIAL" "TU PUEDES" "BUEN AMIGO" "BUEN ESTUADIANTE" "ESTOY MUY ORGULLOSA DE TI" "ERES UN BUEN AMIGO" "ERES UN CAMPEON" "ERES UNA ALUMNA EXCELENTE" I DID THIS ONE TIME WITH MY FIRST GRADERS!!!! THE MOUSE IS A HEART THAT YOU FOLD IN HALF AND HIDE A LOLIPOP (TAIL) THEN WITH A SHARPIE YOU CAN DO THE EYES AND WHISKERS!!! SMALL HEARTS CAN BE THE EARS>
2)MORE SPANISH MESSAGES: "TE QUIERO MUCHO" (I LOVE YOU) "ERES ESPECIAL" (YOU ARE SPECIAL" "ESTOY ORGULLOSO DE TI" (I AM PROUD OF YOU) "BUEN AMIGO/A" (GOOD FRIEND) "FELIZ DIA DE LA AMISTAD" (HAPPY VALENTINE"S DAY) "ERES UN AMIGO ESPECIAL" (YOU ARE A SPECIAL FRIEND)
**Make sure to go back to my facebook page and let me know that you were able to find the responses in here:)

This was my first bulletin board as a bilingual teacher - "Somos maravill-osos" and the students had made shape bears. I was SO proud of that pun! You could write "Eres maravill-oso" and give them gummy bears or Teddy Grahams.

Awww, it's thoughtful of you translating Valentine's day messages to Spanish language. I think some Facebook feature can't support other language.
